‘Egg-citement’ builds for Easter Rotary market

Rotary Easter Market TBW Newsgroup
EXCITEMENT FOR THE WEEKEND: Fiona and Amy prepare to welcome the Easter Bunny at the Rotary Community Market this Saturday.

ONE of Mount Gambier’s cult favourite markets will get even better this weekend, with the Rotary Community Market’s annual Easter celebration.

With an Easter treasure hunt for children as well as face painting, Rotary Mount Gambier committee member Willam Moors said the Saturday event would be bigger and better than ever.

“There will be a treasure hunt for the kids and most stall-holders will have Easter eggs out for the children also,” Mr Moors said.

“We wish to remind the community we do have a regular Saturday market on Easter Saturday with a few extra things to celebrate.”

Expecting their usual 35 stalls alongside extra stalls for the event, Mr Moors and the Rotary committee encouraged community to browse through wide variety of products, including antiques, arts and craft, bric-a-brac, food, produce and handmade items.

Shoppers can also enjoy a hearty breakfast, with the barbecues firing up for the duration of the event.

The market will be held on Kennedy Avenue, behind Harvey Norman between 8am and 1pm.

The Rotary club is also getting ready for their 25th anniversary market, which is planned to be held on May 18.
