Gallery to host retrospective exhibition

ON SHOW: Artist Jean McArthur is exhibiting her latest work at Gallery 54 from February 10 until March 25 this year.

A JOURNEY of creativity and world travel will be on display at Gallery 54 Penola when the latest work by artist Jean McArthur is displayed.

The Gallery 54 Collective will present the retrospective exhibition – titled Leave No Stone Unturned – on behalf of Ms McArthur who is a member of the group.

An intrepid traveller, Ms McArthur grew up in rural South Australia.

Her curiosity has led her to explore books, odd corners of the world and the natural environment.

“I like people, food, weather, solitude and can be contrary,” Ms McArthur said.

Most of her work is from life experience.

The exhibition opens on February 10 at 2pm and will be introduced by guest speaker Monica Hart.

Everyone is welcome to join Ms McArthur and other members of the collective for the event.

The exhibition will run until March 25.
