A NARACOORTE man will be summonsed to appear in court after Sunday’s fire on Pistol Road which threatened two homes and destroyed numerous vehicles, sheds and fencing.
The 33-year-old man was reported for recklessly causing a bushfire after initial investigations suggested the fire was started by the use of an angle grinder.
Police and multiple Country Fire Service appliances, with the assistance of four water bombers, responded to the fire around 11.45am on Sunday.
Local residents and police have praised the efforts of CFS volunteers to save two homes threatened by the fire in dense scrubland and inaccessible terrain.
