Resthaven branches out in Mount Gambier

NEW HUB: Resthaven Limestone Coast community services manager Liz Southall, program assistant Emma Mitchell and assistant manager Unyetta Raddon pictured outside the new James Street premises.

RESTHAVEN Community Services has expanded its footprint within the South East, recently opening a new Mount Gambier office.

Located on James Street in the heart of Mount Gambier’s shopping the district, the Resthaven Limestone Coast Community Services office comes in response to increased demand for aged care support at home.

“We have seen an increase in the demand for services in Mount Gambier for quite some time,” Resthaven Limestone Coast community services manager Liz Southall said.

“We support older people who live in their own homes, offering a little support with domestic tasks, laundry, shopping and social outings through to high level Home Care Packages,” she said.

“For the past few years, we have been operating out of an office at the Resthaven Mount Gambier residential aged care home.

“With ongoing demand, the volume has increased and we need much more room to help us provide services to new customers living at home in the Wattle Range council area.

“The new community services office and activity areas provide a centralised location that will accommodate coordination of the expanding home support, respite and social support programs available for local people living at home throughout the whole region.”
