City’s Christmas spirit on full show

DASHING, DANCING, PRANCING: The Christmas light trend is blowing up this year with residents across the region decking their homes out with their most festive decorations.

WE HAVE made a list of some of the most festive areas to visit in the Blue Lake city this year and checked it twice.

People across the region are spreading Christmas cheer and decorating their homes to celebrate the season.

For many, every year Christmas comes with its annual traditions and on the weekend before the big day, residents are expected to take to the streets in search of their favourite homes.

As always, Montebello Drive is a stand out this year, with a number of houses lighting up for the occasion.

King Grove is also worth a look for those driving through the western area of town.

If you are looking to see what is on offer east of Penola Road, then Conroe Heights will not disappoint.

Hilltop Avenue, Houston Drive, Woodcrest Close and Skyline Place are all worthy of a drive through and Derwent Court has arguably the best blow-up decorations in town.

New developments such as The Meadows are also joining in the fun with several houses in the area decking their yards.

As for the best time to view the eye catching displays, residents should hit the streets around 9pm when last light hits the city.

With Christmas Day looming, motorists are reminded to take care when driving around popular areas as vehicles may drive slower or stop unexpectedly to take in the views.
