A VISITING Congolese dance and singing group took part in the successful launch on Saturday of a new social outreach outlet for Millicent.

Known as Connections, about 60 people welcomed the Mount Gambier visitors to the vacant George Street offices which formerly housed the Malseeds Real Estate office.

Entertainment was also provided by vocalist Caitlyn Altschwager and the Filipino Choir associated with the Millicent Catholic Parish.

Other attractions at the afternoon function were children’s activities and the serving of Devonshire teas.

Among the local church leaders to commend Connections was Millicent and Mount Gambier Catholic parish priest Father Dean Marin, who attended the launch.

The majority of the Millicent Christian churches were represented at the launch and further gatherings of Connections are planned.
