Penola supermarket owners selected for IGA campaign

PENOLA business owners Kerry and Shane McPherson have been hand-picked from 1400 IGA stores across the country to be the face of a new national campaign.

Ms McPherson was chosen by Independent Grocers of Australia (IGA) in recognition of her unrelenting commitment to the local community over the years and will be championed by IGA nationally.

As part of the initiative, she has been given a platform to tell her own heart-warming personal story about living, working and supporting the local community.

The story will be heard across South Australia as it rolls out across TV, cinemas and online outlets this week.

“Local grocers lie at the heart and soul of our communities,” Supermarkets and Convenience at Metcash chief executive Scott Marshall said.

“IGA’s initiative will shine a spotlight on Australia’s unique and incredibly generous store owners and their stories to encourage the public to back them.”
