A MILLICENT man caught driving with cannabis in his system has lost his licence.
The 32-year-old male appeared in the Millicent Magistrates Court earlier this month and pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle with cannabis in his oral fluid.
The prosecution said the defendant was pulled over by police for a driver screening test around 11am on July 28.
The test returned a positive reading for cannabis.
The defendant admitted he had “smoked weed” the Thursday prior.
He was fined $900 and received a six month loss of licence.
Magistrate Teresa Anderson warned him if he were to drive while disqualified he could face a term of imprisonment.
The defendant assured Magistrate Anderson he would not be seen driving behind the wheel during his loss of licence.
