Community club update

SITTING VACANT: A creditors meeting regarding the Millicent and District Community Club will be held tomorrow at the Adelaide office of voluntary administrator David Kidman.

A FURTHER meeting of the creditors of the Millicent and District Community Club will be held tomorrow.

It is scheduled for 11am at the Adelaide office of voluntary administrator David Kidman, who is a partner with specialist insolvency firm Ferrier Hodgson.

Due to trading losses and debts, the board of directors of the Millicent and District Community Club decided to cease trading on September 4 with Mr Kidman appointed as voluntary administrator nine days later.

Mr Kidman convened a meeting of creditors at the Davenport Street premises on September 25 and he has since produced a 55-page report for them.

It will be considered at tomorrow’s meeting along with some suggested resolutions from Mr Kidman, including his fees.

The creditors’ report is not a public document.

Mr Kidman told The South Eastern Times that he had yet to appoint a selling agent for the club building and adjacent car park.

He said his discussions with real estate agents indicated the sale process could take between three and six months.
