Majella visitors enticed to sample back vintage wine

CRACKING CABERNET: Majella Wines’ Lisa Marcus celebrates Cabernet Month with one of Majella’s award-winning reds.

MAJELLA Wines will host its Museum Releases event this weekend as part of the Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations.

The vineyard is cracking open the museum and offering wonderful back vintage wines for purchase.

These are fine examples of why Majella has a five-star Halliday rating and a reputation in the industry for consistently producing 90-plus point wines.

Current release wines will be available by the glass along with cheese and fruit snack packs.

With so much to see and do over the month-long celebrations, the event will be hosted on October 6, 7, 20, 21, 27 and 28 for the public’s convenience.

“Cabernet Month is a great celebration of what our region has to offer,” Majella Wine’s Lisa Marcus said.

“We encourage everyone to come out and see what it’s all about.

“Coonawarra is only a short drive away from Mount Gambier, Millicent and Naracoorte, so we are hopeful lots of locals make the trip here.”

Bookings are not necessary, but are appreciated for larger groups.

Majella can be found in the heart of Coonawarra via V and A Lane just off the Riddoch Highway.

It is open from 10am through to 4.30pm and food is available until sold out.
