Service centre goes extra mile

CITY WIN: Bridgestone Service Centre Mount Gambier’s Anne and Alf Bamford celebrate their win, flanked by Bridgestone state and national management representatives Carmine Maio, Rob Salter, Heath Barclay and Darren Denley.

BRIDGESTONE Service Centre Mount Gambier has been named the top performing regional store in South Australia/Northern Territory in the annual Bridgestone MasterClass program awards, presented at the national dealer conference in Adelaide.

The “masterclass” program sees stores assessed over 12 months in a number of areas of business operations, as well as meeting sales targets.

The award recognises the best performing store in each state across all areas, with Bridgestone Service Centre Mount Gambier coming out on top for the SA/NT region.

Bridgestone Service Centre Mount Gambier owners Alf Bamford, Dave Barry and Terry Gilchrist are no strangers to success, with the store taking the SA/NT top prize in 2016.

“This award is a testament to the quality of staff that we have and recognition of all the hard work put in to running the business,” Mr Bamford said.

“We have always had a vision of where we want to go and what we want to do.

“By working towards that vision with dedication and combining quality product with excellent service, we achieve great outcomes such as this recent award – our customers deserve nothing less.”

According to retiring Bridgestone Australia and New Zealand managing director Andrew Moffatt, this year’s program was one of the most competitive yet.

“Our masterclass program is how we identify and reward our top performing stores,” he said.

“Congratulations to Alf Bamford and the team at Bridgestone Service Centre Mount Gambier on taking out the title in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

“Each year our stores go head-to-head for the top prize and ultimately it is our customers that are the true winners, with stores continually improving on customer service and business processes.”
