Mount Gambier Rotary Club prepares for annual book event

PREPARATION: Rotarian volunteers Ian McDougall, Alan Richardson, Trevor Buck and Rob Burford spend Sunday morning sorting and boxing books in preparation for the 2018 Rotary Club of Mount Gambier Book Fair to be held from September 7 to 9.

PLANNING and preparations for the 2018 Rotary Club of Mount Gambier Book Fair are well under way, with thousands of donated books being sorted and categorised by volunteer members.

As in previous years, there will be many bargains on offer, and the opportunity to find a few “treasures” for avid readers and book collectors.

Proceeds from the event will go towards local projects promoting literacy and reading.

Past fairs have provided new reading books to hundreds of primary school children in Mount Gambier through the national “Books in Homes” initiative.

The 2018 Book Fair will be held in Mount Gambier City Hall from September 7 to 9.

Contact 0417 859 435 to donate books or for any other enquiries.
