Just what the doctor ordered

FAMOUS FRIEND: The Living Room’s Dr Chris Brown made a special visit to best mate Big Moo in Glencoe over the weekend during his trip to the South East.

NOT many people – or animals for that matter – can say one of their mates is a celebrity vet, but for the South East’s Big Moo it is the reality.

The lovable steer, who quickly shot to fame last year due to his enormous size of 190cm, has gained the love and attention of none other than Dr Chris Brown.

Receiving a second special visit from the famous vet over the weekend during his time in the region filming a segment for The

Living Room, Big Moo is the envy of many throughout the South East.

“Chris and Big Moo get along really well – there are certain people Moo is drawn too and Chris is definitely one of them, you can see why he became a vet,” owner Joanne Vine said.

“He is such a lovely guy and made the time during his trip to visit Moo, even though he is not going to feature on the show again.”

Battling with a number of health issues over the past few months, Moo was in top spirits for the visit from Dr Brown.

“He is over all of his little health concerns and is back to his usual self with plenty of people visiting him,” Ms Vine said.

“Moo is loving all of the attention and we love that people love him.

“Hopefully it will not be long before he gets to see his best mate Chris again, we will be sure to make time for the visit.”

Although Dr Brown was eager to visit the over one tonne friendly steer, his main purpose of the trip was to film a segment on ForestrySA’s popular Ghost Mushroom Lane.

Opening two weeks ago, the picturesque mushrooms have piqued the interest of local and interstate visitors with more than 3000 people visiting the site this month.

“We were thrilled to welcome Chris and his film crew to Ghost Mushroom Lane over the weekend,” Forestry SA spokesperson Laura Thomas said.

“To capture such high profile exposure for our project and the region as a whole is invaluable and a pat on the back for our hardworking ForestrySA staff and valued project supporters.

“I cannot wait for the whole of Australia to get a closer look at Ghost Mushroom Lane and plan their next visit to our region.”
Ghost Mushroom Lane will feature in a future episode of The Living Room.
