Recruitment director on the job

LOCAL BUSINESS: Latitude Recruitment director Karen Bryant has kick started her exciting business in the city, assisting with employment opportunities for a range of companies and clients in the region.

A NEW local recruitment business has been launched by director Karen Bryant in the city, offering an employment service for a range of companies and clients.

Latitude Recruitment aims to bring and secure certain skills in the region, while keeping people employed or helping secure promotions.

“I had been thinking about starting my own business for a while and hoped it was able to bring a different offering,” Ms Bryant said.

“I have seen a lot of companies locally using agencies in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.”

Ms Bryant has had extensive experience in the industry, working for various recruitment agencies in major capital cities.

“I then moved overseas with my husband for his job and had a desire to come back to the region,” Ms Bryant said.

Planning the businesses while overseas, Ms Bryant said it had been a rewarding process and it was great to return to work in the region after living away.

“It can be daunting starting your own business, but at the same time very exciting,” Ms Bryant said.

She said she hoped to bring her expertise to the region and work with local companies here.

“The large recruiters are unable to sell it as well as a local person who is extremely passionate about it,” she said.

The business director said her passion was landing people into fulfilling roles and finding employment, while working with candidates and clients closely.

“I enjoy assisting companies with hiring the right person or getting the person a great role which they are happy about,” Ms Bryant said.

“The best part is the phone call to candidates, letting them know they have been successful in gaining the role.”
