Bollywood ball keeps rolling

FOLLOWING a Bollywood performance at the Hallmont Estate Christmas Concert, Hallmont residents have donated $1000 to the Mount Gambier Hospital renal dialysis unit.

Led by unit manager Dr Nebu Mathew, the Bollywood dance troupe has performed at a number of venues since the inaugural Bollywood Ball in October, raising funds to overhaul the hospital’s renal dialysis facilities.

“The Bollywood dancers were fabulous and deserved all the applause they received,” Hallmont resident and concert coordinator Colleen Connell said.

“We collected the tremendous amount of $494, rounded up to $1000 by the Hallmont Estate Residents Committee and Hallmont Estate Residents Association Inc.”

Ms Connell said the Christmas concert was a resounding success.

“There are so many gifted young ones out there wanting to perform and we were happy to have them,” she said.

“It was such a pleasure to gather together talent, volunteers and audience members and see people enjoy themselves.”
