Rex Airlines response to concerns over Mount Gambier air services

CLARIFICATION: THE front page story of our Friday, December 8, 2017, edition states Regional Express has threatened to cut 24,000 seats per annum from Mount Gambier services, scaling back flights to Melbourne and Adelaide by 15pc. However, this is incorrect and results from a misunderstanding of a statement sent to The Border Watch by the airline. The threat was made in 2010, but referred to in the statement issued this month.
