Students spring into action at annual fair

PONY RIDES: Yahl Primary School student Holly enjoys a cuddle with her pony at the spring fair on Friday.

EARLY summer weather was a blessing for Yahl Primary School students on Friday as they hosted their bi-annual spring fair.

Raising money for the school, the students developed their own stalls, selling items and creating activities for all to enjoy.

Building on their business skills, they organised everything from how much they would charge to what prizes were offered.

Principal Chris Morrison was overwhelmed with how successful the afternoon was and said she was proud of what the students achieved.

“Everything was absolutely fantastic and there were still lots of people there for many hours into the night,” she said.

“The kids had a great time running the event and were very happy with how things went.”

Raising a total of $6000, Ms Morrison said they were excited to start planning their nature play area.

“A lot of the money will go towards developing the space with the first stage being purchasing a storage container,” she said.

“Thank you to all of our wonderful sponsors, parents and the community for their support, we couldn’t have done it without them.”

SCHOOL EVENT: Oriana, Brianna and Nikita have fun running their stall at the Yahl Primary School Spring Fair.
