Rally stage scheduled

PASSION FOR CARS: Motoring enthusiasts Roger Saunders and Alex Bohner took part in an Upper Snuggery Racing Team rally to Adelaide last year.

A NUMBER of Millicent motoring identities are staging an extra rally to coincide with the 40th running of the annual Pines Enduro next month.

The locals light-heartedly call themselves the Upper Snuggery Racing Team which was formed several years ago.

Their rallies often coincide with major events such as the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

The Pines Enduro will run from September 22 to 24 in the pine forests near Millicent from where Upper Snuggery Racing Team members will be Adelaide-bound.

They will travel to the capital city via the Riverland and race their vehicles at a number of circuits en route.

Members of the public are welcome to join them for the rally for which registration fees apply.

Among the past participants from this region in rallies organised by the Upper Snuggery Racing Team are Geoff Teagle, Mark Ferguson, Alex Bohner, Joe Scanlon, Ian “Plummy” Werchon, Bill Davis, Dennis Muhovics, Brian Smibert, Roger Saunders and Wattle Range Mayor Peter Gandolfi.
