Italian is Millicent’s second home language

COMMON LANGUAGE: Millicent resident Storm Brooks is one of the 1.1pc of Italian speakers in Millicent as revealed in the 2016 National Census data. Speakers of the Romance language have almost halved in a 15 year period as those reporting Italy as their country of birth has fallen by 30 people

ITALIAN continues to be the most common language other than English spoken at home in Wattle Range, census data has revealed.

The latest statistics of the 2016 National Census show the region is overwhelmingly monolingual, with 91pc of people only
