St Martins toasts 40th year

2022 marks 40 years of education for St Martins Lutheran College.

On 27 February in 1982, the school started with a humble 33 Primary Students as St Martins Lutheran School at the St Mary’s Catholic Church on Pick Avenue, Mount Gambier.

In 1987, the College moved to its current location on St Martins Drive.

In 2004, the school grew to accommodate Secondary Students and became known as St Martins Lutheran College.

The College has now grown to nearly 800 students.

St Martins will be marking its 40th Anniversary with a special Gala night at The Commodore on Saturday 27 August.

Old Scholars, former staff and any members of the community with a fond connection to the College are welcome to come along.

The night will reflect on the past, with special stories from key former staff.

Founding staff member, Shirley Crook, former Principal Dianne Eckermann and long-time staff members Cherylynn Perryman and Tracy Auld will share memories from their time at St Martins.

For more information about the event, or to purchase tickets, follow St Martins Lutheran College on Facebook.
