Volunteers vital to Resthaven

HELPING HAND: Mount Gambier lifestyle coordinator Isurika Wijewardhena with volunteer Jenny Dow giving a wave for all volunteers.

Volunteers are vital in the Resthaven community and we acknowledge the difference they make.

Give an extra special wave to volunteers during National Volunteer Week, Monday, May 16 to Sunday May 22.

The theme this year is ‘Better Together’.

Every day we thank and celebrate volunteers for being an integral part of Resthaven Mount Gambier residential aged care and, in our Limestone Coast Community Services, supporting people who live at home.

We welcome more volunteers to join our community.

Opportunities at Resthaven Mount Gambier include a Group Supporter to lead or support the ‘500 Card Club’ each week, a Craft Supporter on Wednesdays, Visitor Companions to take residents on walks, give hand massages, and chat, and a Footy Tipping Collector to record football tips in the football tipping competition.

To find out how to volunteer with us, visit the Resthaven website or call 8373 9036.
