Golf: Regnier elected to president’s role

ROBE’S Ian Regnier has been elected South East Veteran Golf Association president.

Regnier was elected to replace retiring president Bruce Packer at the association’s annual general meeting.

Despite stepping down, Packer will remain tour director for the annual April week away, which is at Loxton this year.

Other officials elected were secretary Russell Lingham, captain Derek Bowering, vice captain Max Clifford, treasurer Graham Sunderland and committee members Geoff Bankes and David Douglas.

Annual trophies were also presented with John Millhouse winning Division 1 with 37 points while Clifford won Division 2 on 36.
