GRAIN handler Viterra’s 2017/18 post-harvest report has been released following feedback from growers about its harvest operations.

More than 5.6 million tonnes were received into the Viterra network in what was a challenging season with ongoing weather events and lower volumes.

Despite this, Viterra’s Bordertown site set a new season receival record and 12 sites set daily receival records.

Post-harvest, Viterra sought feedback from growers about its operations and customer service through a grower survey and silo committee meetings.

The results have been collated to produce the post-harvest report.

The report found growers were generally pleased with Viterra’s service delivery, with the company’s services given a 74pc satisfaction rating.

A total of 90pc of respondents believed the overall service delivery and operations had remained the same or improved from the previous year.

To further improve its services, Viterra has significant investments in capital works and maintenance planned for the coming year.

Meanwhile, the outwards process of grain movements has recently started at the Millicent silos.
