STRAY dogs have been blamed for attacking the super-size dairy steer known as “Big Moo” at his Glencoe paddock on the weekend.

Big Moo has a social media presence and it states that the dog attack left him with bites and bloody scars on his legs.

The giant bovine has only just recovered from a badly infected leg over Christmas.

A suspected dog bite was blamed for the infection and it could have killed him.

Due to his size, Big Moo is too big to run away from dogs.

Meanwhile, the media profile of Big Moo is soaring with another visit from a film crew associated with a national television program.

Footage of Big Moo was shot last week and is set to be played on The Project in the near future.

He is thought to be the largest steer in the nation and stands 186cm tall and weighs 1.5 tonnes.
