KANE Stuckey and Nic Beare, known by his stage name Esketamine, have recently collaborated on a new track.

A former singing student of Stuckey’s, Beare starred in the video for hit Unbroken, and the pair were keen to work together again.

“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while now, I sent him over a track and it wasn’t his style,” Stuckey said.

“We chatted for a while and ultimately decided that a ‘Linkin Park style’ song would suit us best.”

Stuckey said the track had a lot of depth, and featured a lot of synthesizer elements tied in with the song.

“The instrumental came from wanting to do a track with Skets, and evolved from there,” Stuckey said.

“It was really tailored to what suits us best as a duo.”

Working together on the track was a short and sweet experience for the pair.

“A lot of it was done from our individual homes, then he came to my studio and belted out his parts in one flawless take,” Stuckey said.

“It was mixed by Solar Studios in Brisbane who also helped me with Calamity and the singles since.”

Stuckey was proud of the track and said there is still more to come from the artist.

“It feels amazing to be able to put tracks together like this, and it’s just the beginning,” he said.

“I’ve got about five more songs in the recording pipeline at the moment while I write other songs in between family, uni and gigs.

“I’m really looking forward to this next wave of releases, and it’s starting out incredibly strong.”

Beare said the overall experience was something different, and it was enjoyable to work with an old friend.

“I haven’t strayed too far from the hip hop or rap style I have done for years now, but I love the finished product and am proud of it,” he said.

“It was great, but unfortunately short because we just powered through it so quickly.

“I love Kane so there was no way I could say no to working with him.”

Pre-save and pre-order is available for the track through Spotify and Apple Music, and it will be released on streaming services from August 29.
