Riddoch holds annual local exhibition

SETTING UP: Curator Serena Wong, Chrissy Pudney, Kevin Harradine and Vice President of the South East Art Society Julianne Woodruff.

THE Riddoch Arts and Cultural Centre will be the venue for a new public exhibition by the South East Art Society showcasing the region’s talent.

More than 100 works by painters, sculptors, photographers and students from the area are currently being put into place for viewing at the gallery.

Established in 1965 as a local talent showcase, the South East Art Society annual event will open publicly to art enthusiasts today.

“The exhibition is the product of six months work by our volunteer committee of art lovers and we are really proud of the quality, creativity and variety of the entries,” South East Art Society president Vicky Thorpe said.

“Most of the works are available for sale, so be early to put a red dot on unique originals.”

The exhibition opens at 10am tomorrow.
