VOCAL group The 60 Four is touring South Australian regions, with Mount Gambier soon to have it in the spotlight.

Composed of local and emerging musicians, the nine-piece band is set to hit the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre’s stage in April.

The 60 Four is touring its highly successful ‘60s music act all over South Australia between February and April as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Ben Francis, Lachlan Williams, Finnegan Green and Kyle Hall will take their award-winning, critically acclaimed act to locations including Renmark, Kangaroo Island, Whyalla, Mount Gambier, Victor Harbor, Port Pirie, Noarlunga, Elizabeth, and Adelaide.

Director Ben Francis said he was passionate about providing a post-pandemic economic and tourism boost to regional communities, whilst also providing paid employment to local musicians.

“After a tumultuous couple of years, I think this is the right time to take our show to the regions,” Mr Francis said.

“It’s precarious, and a little nerve-wracking, but we are turning a page and that’s exciting.

“We want to bring a slice of the ‘60s to as many South Australians as we can.”

The 60 Four have wowed audiences throughout South Australia for five years, with their sharp suits, slick moves and tight harmonies, with hits from ‘60s megastars including The Beatles, The Beach Boys as well as The Four Seasons and Johnny O’Keefe.

The 60 Four’s regional tour will be supported by a contribution by the Adelaide Fringe Foundation through the Artist Grant program.

The group will perform at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre in Mount Gambier beginning Saturday April 2 at 7:30pm, with standard tickets ranging from $34.95 to $55.95.
