ICONIC Australian folk rock band The Waifs will head to Mount Gambier later this year as part of their 2018 Ironbark 25th Anniversary Regional Tour.

Formed by sisters Vikki Thorn and Donna Simpson with Josh Cunningham in 1992, the group has been a staple of the Australian music scene for more than 25 years.

Winning four ARIA Awards from sixteen nominations, supporting Bob Dylan on multiple tours, in addition to touring internationally, The Waifs is an incredible part of Australian culture.

Thanks to relentlessly touring every part of the country from their beginning, The Waifs has always had an affectionate relationship with fans in regional Australia.

Late last year the band made a promise to return to those regional areas in 2018 that missed out on dates during the Ironbark 25th Anniversary Tour in 2017.

The band has kept its promise with the tour kicking off in Cairns on September 22, through Far North Queensland to Victoria and South Australia, hitting the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre on October 6.

Tickets are available at the box office or online from July 16.
