RAY White Keatley has continued to receive donations following its Mellow in the Yellow event held at The Rail last Friday.

Supporting Live Rural, a foundation that assists people living and working on the land, total funds raised will be donated to the Mount Gambier Community Health Mental Health Inpatient Unit and the Stand Like Stone Foundation.

Ray White Keatley principal Harriet Keatley said a whopping $18,000 was raised through the auction.

“We are still receiving donations, so we expect we will have a total figure in the next couple of weeks,” Ms Keatley said.

“We did raise $18,000 during the auction with the highest bid at $3600 for a holiday in Boracay.”

Guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails before a sit down meal and danced the night away to Ellyana Sims, Tamara Seeley, Ben Hood and feature act Kate Ceberano.

“It was a great turnout with 140 guests in attendance,” Ms Keatley said.

“Kate Ceberano was fantastic – you could not fault her on a thing and she mixed with the crowd all night.

“The only let down was the weather – unfortunately it was a very humid night and it ended up being very warm in the marquee.

“That was only a small complaint because the food, entertainment and people were wonderful.”

Ms Keatley said Mellow in the Yellow would likely become a bi-annual event, though not necessarily in the same format.

“We are looking at hosting a similar event next year, not necessarily to raise money for the same cause, but it will certainly be something around mental health,” she said.

“After that we hope to continue something bi-annually, but we are not sure if it will be the same format – personally I would love to do a long lunch event.”
