FRINGE ACTION: Former Mount Gambier performer Adam Page will bring his unique talents to the Supermassive Music Festival as part of this year’s Adelaide Fringe Festival.

A FORMER Mount Gambier performer is part of a “super massive” line-up of talent expected to fill Victoria Square in Adelaide on February 25 as part of the renowned Fringe Festival.

The Supermassive Music Festival will be headlined by the talented Sarah Blasko and will also feature Frente!, Heaps Good Friends, Solli Raphael, DJ Tr!p and former South East man Adam Page.

Adam will hit the main stage to showcase his skills and create live spontaneous symphonies through his looping techniques.

The festival will be held at Grounded, a new Adelaide Fringe pop-up precinct in Victoria Square, Tarntanyangga, opening from February 16 to 25.

Grounded will play host to a number of activities, creative workshops and performances throughout the duration of the festival.

Supermassive has been programmed for people of all ages with a packed and unique line-up featuring live music, slam poetry, dance, art installations, food and more.

Kicking off at 11am and running until 7pm, Supermassive will provide guests with a full day of entertainment.

Aside from Adam’s main stage performance, festival goers will be able to get up close and learn how he creates looping
effects.

The multi-instrumentalist will host a special workshop with people of all ages to help them create their own symphonies using only the voices of participants.

Plus, in the tradition of New Orleans iconic brass and percussion street parades that take over the city, Adam and his “second line”, the Piping Shrike Brass Band, will interrupt the status quo and turn Grounded upside down.

He will be accompanied by students from Concordia College when the second line parades through Grounded at Victoria Square, playing on anything they can get their hands on.

It will be impossible not to catch some of the infectious, irreverent enthusiasm for the music and its beats.
