SURFING, dancing, knitting and exercising Santas flaunted around the Penola and Coonawarra region can be spotted this holiday season by community members and tourists to adore.

An impressive 42 Santas were entered in the unique Stuffed Santa competition, which this year was run by Koonara Wines.

Gear Up Fitness in Penola displayed Santa getting into shape as he exercised with some weights, while Zema Estate’s Santa enjoyed keeping fit by dancing on the winery’s pole.

At DiGiorgio Family Wines, onlookers can enjoy seeing Santa play golf in the sun, while at Hollick Wines he can be seen blissfully rocking out to some tunes on his guitar.

Parker Coonawarra Estate showcases a more relaxed Santa who has fantastic knitting skills while Jack Estate’s Santa prefers more of a thrill as he surfs on top of the winery’s scenic vines.

After a five hour difficult judging process from Penola’s three school principals, winner were announced on Friday night at the town’s annual Christmas street party.

First place went to Murray’s Country Cottages for their enormous farming Santa, situated 15km north west of Coonawarra.
