EVENT registrations for next year’s Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival are now open.

Artists, businesses and individuals are encouraged to host an event as part of the four-day festival held in May each year.

The jam-packed festival program is renowned for its diversity and ability to cater for all ages, interests and talents.

With performances, exhibitions, workshops and unique events of all sorts welcome, the festival committee urges people of all ages to participate.

New festival committee member and artist Kyra Sykes said the event was a top spot for emerging artists to show work.

“The festival is perfect for those who are thinking about showing artwork because the event and its organisers welcomes newcomers with open arms,” she said.

“After showing two exhibitions in the festival, I gained confidence in my work and further artistic opportunities, which is why I decided to join the festival team.

“I encourage everyone to share their talents as part of the festival, whether it is an exhibition, performance or workshop – whatever.”

For over 25 years the Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival has highlighted excellence through the involvement of local, national and international artists while promoting Penola’s rich literary, art and cultural heritage and the fine wines of Coonawarra.

Registration forms are available online and are open until January 31.
