IT was a night of celebration for Grant High School students on Friday as they showcased their work for all to see at The Old Mount Gambier Gaol.

From photography and art to food and music, Grant After Dark brought together families and friends from across the city as they congratulated students on their achievements throughout the year.

With around 200 people making their way to the event, teacher Pariya Ziakas said it was a fantastic night and great learning experience for students.

“The weather was perfect and it was a great opportunity for students, especially those who catered the event to work in a real life venue,” she said.

“There was such a big build-up to the event, they spent around two or three weeks planning everything before the night, so they were thrilled to see it all went smoothly.”

Thanking all of the sponsors for their contribution and commitment to Grant After Dark, Ms Ziakas said it would not have been possible without their generosity.

“We are very grateful for the continued support of James and Mel at The Old Mount Gambier Gaol and the sponsors who helped with running the event,” she said.

“There is no doubt we will hold it again next year and it will be even bigger and better.”
