GOOD OL’ CAST: Mount Gambier Theatre Group members Luke Pellen, Tania Rajic, Ethan Baker, Chris Summers, Sue Clark, Robin Pellen and Emmanuelle Pratt will star in The Old People Are Revolting.
AUDIENCES will experience a Mount Gambier Theatre Group production with a difference at the Wehl Street Theatre this month.

The group is set to perform a play titled The Old People Are Revolting on November 17, 18 and 19.

Set in a retirement village, the play follows a rather different tale compared to the group’s previous performances.

The Old People Are Revolting follows the story of elderly residents who decide to revolt against a council’s decision to cut their utilities discount.

Together they hatch a plan to cede from the Commonwealth and form their own kingdom.

In an effort to draw attention to their operation, they decide to blow up a wattle tree the council has refused to remove.

The cast has been directed by theatre group life member Heather Doman.

The eccentric characters who live in the village include Howie (Luke Pellen), Hoity-toity Patricia (Emmanuelle Pratt), Shirley (Chris Summers), Peggy (newcomer Sue Clark), Elizabeth (newcomer
Tania Rajic), Doug (Robin Pellen) and Ashley (Ethan Baker).

The production will be performed at the Wehl Street Theatre with tickets available at the door.
