BRIGHT colours, crazy hairstyles and creative costumes lit up the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre stage this week as more than 400 students from across the region danced in a special bi-annual performance.

Taking place for the 18th time this year, the Move It production proved to be a great success with students showing off their dancing skills learnt during the year.

Full of confidence, students were excited to perform in a first class theatre in front of their family and friends.

Suttontown Primary School Year 3 student Billy said he had a lot of fun learning the dances for the school’s Trolls themed performance with his classmates.

“I have always loved dancing so really enjoyed learning the moves for the performance – I’m not nervous at all to perform,” he told the Border Watch on Wednesday.

Following the theme of Dream Big, many students designed and choreographed their items themselves, with others seeking support from local dance teachers.

Move It was performed twice on Wednesday with a matinee and night showing.
