Day out on water celebrates drought recovery

AFTER 20 years of drought, Edenhope’s Lake Wallace is thriving once again and will this weekend host a fishing competition.

A celebratory event for the return of water to the once bare lake, the event is expected to attract anglers from as far away as New South Wales as they compete to catch the biggest and best fish.

Now home to redfin and rainbow and brown trout, Edenhope Fishing Competition committee member Kalla Colgate said the lake is looking “amazing”.
