THE South East was no match for Adelaide Suburban in the South Australian Metropolitan Senior Country Cup one day grand final at Gliderol Stadium in the state’s capital on Sunday.
Despite having the control early through winning the toss and electing to bat first in the one-day clash, the South East struggled to keep its momentum after its first wicket fell.
Jake Schutz and Matthew McInerney opened proceedings and put together a 45-run partnership, before the latter was dismissed.
McInerney managed 32 runs from 29 balls before he was sent walking.
David Somerfield then joined Schutz at the crease.
Schutz was next to be dismissed
