Finals set

THE Millicent Squash Club is set to contest its finals after the last minor round was completed this week.

The Division 1 match of the round saw Bruce Kennewell claim a well-deserved win over Steve Gray.

Gray took the first game 16-14, before Kennewell lifted to dominate the court and claim the second 15-6.

Kennewell continued his impressive form in the third game with a tough 15-10 win, before again dominating in the fourth for a 15-5 victory and the match.

In Division 2, Chris Hunt went down to a determined Adam Sandow in a five-game showdown.

Hunt took out a hard-fought first game 15-10 before Sandow fought back to win the next two games 15-8 and 15-7.

Hunt then turned the tables and claimed the next two, with the final game a 15-11 result.

Semi-finals will be played Friday, June 18 from 7pm.

For Division 1, Over Served will play Sweet Spots for a position in the grand final, with the loser having another chance in the preliminary final.

The knockout final sees Super Shots face No Faults, with the winner playing in the preliminary final and the loser bowing out.

In Division 2, Super Shots play Sweet Spots for a position in the grand final, while the knockout final sees Slammers play No Faults.

The preliminary final will be played on Monday, June 21, with the grand final scheduled for Friday, June 25.
