KINGSTON remains unbeaten and on top of the Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara football league ladder after dismantling Keith on the weekend in the battle of the two undefeated teams at Gall Park.
The Saints were switched on from the start and used a second quarter run to open up a match-winning 32-point lead.
Tyler Baker, Nathan Davey and Henry Lawrie were prominent in the win, while Jacob Fisher and Brock Kennedy kicked three goals each for the Saints.
Ben Simounds was held without a goal by the Kingston backline and only James Irwin could kick multiple goals for Keith as he kicked two.
Will Schreiber, Sam Tooley and Jack Jones battled hard for the Crows.
BORDER DISTRICTS 16.14 (110) d PENOLA 9.10 (64)
Border Districts claimed a 46-point win against Penola in a battle of the Eagles on Saturday.
The home side opened up the game after holding a 14-point lead at the main break.
From there they built the lead and momentum, going to the final term with a 21-point advantage, before a six-goal final term to run away with the game.
Graham Hampton and Mark Quinn kicked four goals each in the victory, while Quinn, James Baron and Brayden Denmead were Border’s best.
Brad Bryant battled hard for Penola and kicked three goals, while Bradley Crabb, Bryant and Joshua Currie were named in the best.
KYBYBOLITE 14.14 (98) d LUCINDALE 10.13 (73)
Kybybolite recorded its first victory of the season when they defeated Lucindale by 25 points to climb off the bottom rung of the ladder.
After trailing by one point at the first break, the Tigers began to build momentum to take a 12-point advantage to the main break.
They continued on in the third term with three goals, while holding Lucindale to just three behinds, then held on in the final quarter for a well-deserved victory.
Tyler Harris was outstanding for the victors with four goals, while Stephen Craig and Bradley Castine kicked three each.
Sam Mardling kicked three goals for the Roos.
MUNDULLA 16.14 (110) d BORDERTOWN 10.6 (68)
Mundulla proved too strong for Bordertown, with a strong start and a consistent effort handing them the 42-point win.
With an 18-point half-time lead, the Tigers took control in the second half with another 10 goals to Bordertown’s six.
Mundulla was led by William Nankevell who kicked four goals and was named best on ground, while James Hinge and Reagan Tink kicked three each.
Jacob Grosser, Sam Luckett and Jake McGrice were also prominent around the ground in the victory.
Curtis McCarthy, Thomas Neville and Billy Hayes kicked two goals each for Bordertown, while Billy Hayes, Harrison Fromm and Rory Tink were named in the Roosters’ best.
NARACOORTE12.10 (82) d PADTHAWAY 9.17 (71)
Naracoorte held off a fast-finishing Padthaway to claim a deserved 11-points victory.
Padthaway looked to chase down a 12-point half-time deficit, but inaccuracy in front of goals put paid to any hope of a win.
Six straight behinds in the third term to three straight goals from Naracoorte saw the lead creep out to 24 points.
However, Padthaway managed to kicked five goals in the final term while holding naracoorte to just three, but it was too little, too late.
Aaron Slorach kicked four goals for the Demons in the win, while Rory Taggert kicked three.
Tobin Cox kicked four goals for Padthaway.
Round 7 will see Bordertown host Padthaway in a game which could go either way.
Both sides have had their moments this season and both need a win after a lack-lustre start to the year.
While Padthaway sits in fourth position, Bordertown is down in seventh place, with a bit more riding on the result.
Keith will be favoured to bounce back at home against Border Districts.
The Eagles have shown some good form, but the Crows at home is always a hard task.
Kybybolite hosts Mundulla and the visitors will be favourite to continue their winning streak.
Naracoorte hosts Kingston in what shapes as an intriguing contest.
The Demons have the players to trouble the Saints, but Kingston is flying at the moment and will be favoured to get the win.
Penola hosts Lucindale in a game where both must win.
Penola is currently on the bottom rung of the ladder but will start as favourite due to the home ground advantage at McCorquindale Park.
