AN impressive back half of the grand final gave Bill Davis, John Buhlmann, Steve Carnellor and Peter Scanlon victory and the title of Millicent Bowls Club Men’s Fours Champions.
The title was contested on Monday between the victors and David Reichel, Peter Bateman, Andre Reinders and Brian Roper.
The game started in windy, damp conditions, played over 18 ends.
For the first eight ends the two teams were neck-and-neck with Roper’s team leading 9-7.
However, the Scanlon team was then able to score seven shots for a five-shot lead and then went on to win five of the next seven ends to tie up the title 25-17.
