Shooters in fine form for monthly competition

THE Mount Gambier Gun Club held its monthly shoot on Saturday in favourable conditions.

Kevin Mules and Michael Raper shared a Grade with 46/50 each, while Darren Beyer (75/79) claimed B Grade from Joe Densley (71/79).

John McIntyre won C Grade with a score of 47/54, from Brian Shelton (43/54).

The N. F. McDonnell and Sons 25-target handicap event required shoot-offs to decide the placings.

Doug Rohde eventually claimed the honours with 29/29, ahead of Surasak Piendomkijlert (28/29), Beyer (28/29), Mick Rudd (27/29) and Simson (24/26).

The Thomson Bilt 25-target double barrel championship was expertly shot, with seven shooters attaining perfect scores.

Shoot-offs in all grades were required to decide the outcomes.
