Night Owls bowls on

MILLICENT Night Owls bowls season has been extended by two weeks to make up for lost games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The season will now finish on Wednesday, March 24 with a presentation and barbecue.

In last week’s competition several players recorded three or more touches.

Paul Whitford (Rovers) 4, Gary Wilson (Mossies) 4, Jim Hyland (Mossies ) 3, Ian Grosser (Somerset Seniors) 3, Margie Gysberts (Gizzies Crew) 3, Stewart Pounsett (Lions Roar) 3,

Scott Bowering (Tant Tigers) 3, Jaydon Williams (Bedford Butterflies) 3, Maureen McRobert (Maccas) 3, Janet Watson (Birdies) 3, Haydon Joiner (Lion Rams) 3 and Graham Fennell (The George) 3.

In White Division Lion Cubs – Graham Arney, Mallie Buchanan, Robert Dunn and Keith Fields – claimed the honours, defeating Rotary 30+12.

Other winning teams were Gizzies Crew 28+3, Scrappers 28+2 and X Factor 27+1.

Sunnies’ Mary Bellinger, Bernie Bowman, Glen Tilley and Barb Leicester won Blue Division, defeating Lions Rams 28+7.

Other winning teams were Mossies 28+5, Birdies 27+6, Lions 27+3 and Try Hards 26+5.

In Red Division Tant Tigers – Scott Bowering, Tyson McGrath, Eddie Hann, Ian Johnson – defeated Maccas 30+16 for the win.

Other winning teams were The George 30+13, Sparkies 27+, with Great Northern Clams, Somerset Legends, Untouchables and Grand hotel all having a draw.
