Water plan consultation

THE Limestone Coast Landscape Board will host consultation meetings in Keith and Bordertown next week to highlight proposed changes to the Tatiara Water Allocation Plan.

Water licence holders in the Tatiara Prescribed Wells Area are invited to learn about the key concepts underpinning the proposed changes and provide feedback at future consultation meetings set for later this month.

Limestone Coast Landscape Board chair Penny Schulz encouraged all licensees to be involved in the consultation process.

The current plan was adopted in 2010 and has been undergoing a review to meet statutory requirements under the Landscape South Australia Act 2019.

A stakeholder advisory group made up of local members of the community, representing a range of industries, was formed in 2017 to assist in the process.

The consultation meetings will run for two hours and present the key concepts developed in collaboration with the stakeholder advisory group.

Licensees that require further discussion or clarification on particular issues will be able to book one-on-one meetings with a Limestone Coast Landscape Board staff member.

These one-on-one sessions will be held in Keith and Bordertown on June 29 and July 1 respectively.

An invitation to attend the consultation meeting is being sent out to all water licence holders by email or post.
