Krispy Kreme announces Mount Gambier factory open date

THOUSANDS of free Krispy Kreme donuts will be up for grabs when the doughnut giant opens its first regional Australian Hot Light factory store in Mount Gambier, officially rolling out freshly made doughnuts from Saturday, December 19.

Co-located with the new OTR Mount Gambier East complex, the factory will supply products to the community and surrounding towns through its retailers, providing 24/7 access to fresh doughnuts.

Krispy Kreme SA general manager Mark Higginbottom is excited to flick the switch on the third Hot Light factory store in South Australia.

“The world-famous Hot Light gives our visitors a unique melt-in-your-mouth experience where they enjoy hot, fresh, Original Glazed doughnuts as they roll off the line, every day,” Mr Higginbottom said.

“We are thrilled to be bringing Krispy Kreme to Mount Gambier and the South East,” he said.

“Our grand openings are unique, we give away 1000’s Krispy Kreme doughnuts to those who join in on the opening day celebrations – so save the date – Saturday, December 19 at 10am sharp.”

Our entire team including our Store Manager Rachel Szabo are locals, creating 21 jobs for the Mount Gambier community.

In another South Australian first, locals in the town will be able to order fresh doughnuts for delivery via Menulog and the Krispy Kreme website.

The new Mount Gambier store joins Adelaide’s seven other Krispy Kreme stores across the state.
