Timberlink’s sights set on the future

AS one of the largest employers in the region, Timberlink Australia continues on their exciting growth journey by investing in innovation at their Tarpeena facility.

Over the last three years, Timberlink has invested over $130M into upgrades at the Tarpeena site demonstrating their commitment to the forestry industry and regional communities.

Upgrades include the construction of Australia’s first combined Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and Glue Laminated Timber (GLT) manufacturing facility created by a $63m investment by Timberlink, as well as a state-of-the-art LOSP treatment plant, and a brand-new green mill.

Progress on the combined CLT GLT facility which is scheduled to commence production in late 2023 continues, with sub round civils and an impressive 15,000sqm slab completed throughout May and June.

Most recently, the team welcomed the delivery of the first piece of Kallesoe machinery to site.

NeXTimber CLT panels and GLT members provide the biophilic and environmental benefits of traditional timber but with the strength to support taller and more complex structures up to 12 stories high.

The facility will increase Australia’s sovereign capability to manufacture CLT & GLT, assist in decarbonising the Australian construction industry, and provide up to 50 additional jobs in the region at full output.

Timberlink will continue to invest in new technologies to improve efficiency and capacity of our mills and transform our business into a workplace of the future.

We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team, and with a variety of positions available at our Tarpeena facility, we’d love to hear from you – visit Timberlink Australia’s website for additional details.
