Ready to get on with it!

THE Mount Gambier business community is ready to get on with it!

We’re ready to focus on the positives, grow our business’, employ more staff and welcome customers, old and new.

It’s amazing to see so a multitude of businesses popping up in our community, especially the CBD.

After the toughest two years people have had the guts, determination and spirit to get out there and give it a go. How inspiring – let’s support them!

The housing and commercial property market has exploded with local and interstate investment.

People have discovered the secret of Mount Gambier and the Limestone Coast and they want in.

The prices at the sale yards are unprecedented which leads to further spending throughout the region from our agriculture sector.

In some industries there’s lots of good news.

However, our retail, hospitality and tourism sector needs us to spend and holiday in our own backyard.

To go back to catching up with friends and family for lunch or dinner at our favourite venue, meeting mates after work on a Friday, spending a lazy Saturday morning shopping and to visit the cave or winery you haven’t been to for years.

Book the ticket to the event, support our local live music scene, have a night of fun during the fringe!

There is also underlying issues creeping into Mount Gambier with housing shortages and lack of skilled workers or workers in general.

It’s time for our State Government to invest heavily in Mount Gambier so we can live up to the potential as a City.

Hopefully the loud noises our local candidates are currently making continue after the election in the halls of parliament.

The Mount Gambier Chamber of Commerce look forward to continuing working with and advocating for our business community.

It’s time to now to connect and grow together to make Mount Gambier the place to do business.
