RSL bowlers claim coveted shield

WHILE the pennant season is over, the Mount Gambier RSL Bowling Club has been busy hosting some prestigious events and being involved in tournaments around the Limestone Coast.

The RSL team of Dave Beaman, Sandi Elliott, Garry Fox and Julie Beaman won the Mount Gambier Probus Club’s annual shield event at the Mount Gambier Bowling Club.

The competitive event saw 14 teams of four take part with the format being one game of 12 ends and two games of 10 ends.

The RSL bowlers won all three games with a total score of 82 points and took out the shield at their first attempt.
