Night bowlers on the money

NIGHT Owls bowling continued last week at the Millicent Bowls Club, with plenty of touches across the board.

The Bedford Butterflies duo of Wayne Hann and Shaun Osmond managed four and three respectively, while The George’s Graham Fennell had three.

Pete Johns (Try Hards) and Jamie Vearing (Grand Hotel) both had four touches, while Andrew Dodd (Tant Tigers), Phil Hunter (Somery Seniors), Janet Watson (Birdies) and Geordie Whennen (Maccas) all managed three.

In Blue Division Bits and Pieces – Graham Watson, John Shelton, Deon Howell and Jim Greenfield – defeated Lions Rams 28+9.

Other winners were Try Hards 28+9, Max’s Four 28+4 and Awesome Foursome 27+1, while Somery Seniors had a draw with Mossies on 17.

Jack Attack – Frank Cooper, Ian Kuchel, David Nuske and Will Wimshurst – defeated Rovers 29+3 to claim Red Division.

Other winners were Untouchables 28+15, Sparkies 28+6, Grand Hotel 28+2 and The George 27+4.

In White division Beanz Team – Ted Hamilton, Arthur Vernon, Rhonda Slape and Ian Slape – claimed the win over Lions Roar 28+8.

Other winners were Gizzies Crew 27+4, Scrappers 26+4 and X Factor 25+3.

Night bowlers are reminded they can join other bowlers for the Royal Flying Doctor’s fund-raising day on Sunday March 14 with a 1pm start.

Names to be in by 12.30pm.

The day is open to teams or single entries to placed in a team.
