Successful day at RSL

THE Mount Gambier RSL Bowling Club held a successful annual Legacy Day on Sunday with a strong entry of 28 teams of four players from around the Limestone Coast area.

Mild conditions greated the bowlers which led to some exciting bowls.

The format for the day was three games of 10 ends with points awarded for winning the game and also the number of ends won.

After the conclusion of the games the top performing team amassed three wins and a total of 84 1/2 points and consisted of Peter Roachock, Peter Gregory, Dougie McPhail and Max Schultz.

Runners-up with three wins and 80 points were Les James, Lindsay Moyle, Ian Gard and Graham Wilson.

Third with three wins and 79 1/2 points were Rex Heins, Tim Wrightson, Kym Franklin and Di Adams.

The most prestigious award (The NABA award) went to Eddie Otter, Dave Beaman, Bob Solly and Geoff James.

The day would not have been possible without sponsors and the RSL Bowling Club would like to thank all the relevant sponsors of this event and all the helpers on the day which made it so successful.
