Re-brand reflects direction of Riddoch association

NEW INITIATIVE: The Riddoch Business and Community Association members Simone Kain, Luke Trotter, Nicole Reschke and Simon Meares celebrate the launch of the new website and strategic plan.

A NEW strategic plan has been released by the Riddoch Business and Community Association alongside its refreshed website.

The plan – available on the association’s website – details a set of key priorities for the association including economic growth, collaboration, community, advocacy and livability.

It includes plans to create and share a number of positive stories via social media and encouraging local shopping within the community.

The association has also announced goals to further encourage visitation to the region including creating and maintaining a relationship with the Limestone Coast Local Government Association and working closely with Wattle Range Council.

Updating Community Town Plans, encouraging regular member feedback and creating a community wishlist was also highlighted within the document.

Association president Rebecca Trotter said the updated website highlighted member details in a general directory alongside eat and stay pages which provides an interactive Google map listing and links to their website and social media.

“We have modernised and streamlined our processes so there is one data entry point for all members details,” Ms Trotter said.

“This not only keeps everything up-to-date, but has also created efficiencies with being able to use this same one-click functionality for our member invoicing.

“It was important to us as a newly re-branded organisation that we portray ourselves as the forward-thinking group of people that we are.”

She said the functionality of the new website and branding was an important step in the association’s vision while also supporting local
businesses.

“Supporting businesses in our town provides a multiplier effect with those businesses then being able to reinvest and support other businesses and community organisations,” she said.

“A flourishing economy increases our social infrastructure capabilities and services which results in a strengthened community and improved way of living.”
